Learning Outcomes Evaluations have launched

14 July 2017

Last month we launched our newest feature to the Events Booking and Management System – Learning Outcomes.

System users now have the choice to request delegates complete pre and post-course evaluations to assess their learning outcomes.

Assessing the delegate before a course, immediately after, then 3 or 6 months later down the line allows you to measure the effectiveness of the course and see how the skills learnt have been transferred into every-day practice.

The feature allows you to have delegates complete a pre-course evaluation to attain their level of knowledge going into the course, then immediately after completing the course they complete another evaluation to record how their knowledge has progressed. To incentivise delegates to complete these, their certificates can be held and their ability to book onto another course frozen until they have filled it out.

Administrators then have the option to ask delegates to complete two more evaluations. It is up to the Administrator to pick when they want these times to be, for example this may be 3 months and 6 months down the line to assess how the delegate has put what they learnt into practice and the long-term effect it has had. You can also send an evaluation for their line manager to complete at the end of the process.

There are multiple different question format types you can choose from, from rating scales to open-text feedback boxes or setting actions that can then be marked as achieved or not in a later evaluation.

As with all our tools, extensive reporting is also available which can be broken down into multiple areas including by event, by specific course or by evaluation stage. An intelligent points system will also score the learning gain from each event to allow for easily comparable results.
